Are you done with your Christmas shopping yet? What’s on your list? Yes, I am. So far everyone on my list gets something on Christmas day. I bought things like shirts, toys, wrist watch and bags. Majority of the stuff I bought are for my Godchildren whom I haven’t seen for the past 8 years. I haven’t bought anything for my daughter yet, maybe tomorrow when I go to Manila. She wished for a kiddie computer. So I guess that would make her happy.

When SAHMone Speaks Meme #18

What would you do if you found out that your partner cheats on you? I’ll confront him in a nice and diplomatic way. That way I’d be able to gather all the info that I have in mind. That already happened once and it worked for me. He admitted his mistakes, asked for my forgiveness, made up for the damaged and lost times, asked me to marry him and….
We’ve been married for 4 years now, can’t say it’s a perfect one which everyone I think would agree coz there’s no such as perfect relationship. Just like the rest we still go through a lot of adjustments especially that he’s miles away from us.
Oh by the way, when I found out that he cheated on me, I didn’t confront him right away, I first spoke to people who had known the real “thing” that happened. When I was already sure, that was the time when I asked him. Of course, I cried a river. I was hurt! What do you expect??!!!

Does your partner remember important dates such as anniversaries and birthday or do you keep a calendar to remind him? Unfortunately, he does not. And that includes his parents and siblings’ birthdates. I keep a track in my cellphone and remind him 2 days before their birthdays and on the day itself. I always tell that this isn’t good. That he has to try hard and remember the dates. He remembers my birthday and our daughter’s birthday though but not our anniversaries. Well, sometimes he does but that’s very seldom. And if I get annoyed he’d just tell me “you should know me by now”. Hmp! I still wish one day he’d tell me ahead of time “Mahal, I made reservation in one of the hotels las vegas for our anniversary”. Haha!

Do you celebrate anniversaries? How? Unfortunately, we don’t. Greeting each other is only thing we do. During the time when we were still back in Bahrain together, there was no enough time for these things as we were both working. His work demands a lot of time and being employed in the Food & Beverage industry, it conflicts our schedules. But when we get a chance, we just dine out and that’s it. We just completed our 4th year of marriage 3 days ago, and it went by just like an ordinary day. Maybe in the future… even if we don’t it won’t be a big deal for me. For as long as he remembers the date, I’m satisfied with that.

If there’s one greatest gift that you ever received in your life, what is that? My daughter. The most precious and priceless gift I ever received. She changed my life for the better. She makes me smile. She loves me unconditionally. She’s the best thing that ever happened to me, in short. I’d never get tired uttering these words “Thank you, my precious little one,for bringing joy to our hearts. You just don’t know how proud we are, for having you in our lives…”
