Are you done with your Christmas shopping yet? What’s on your list? Yes, I am. So far everyone on my list gets something on Christmas day. I bought things like shirts, toys, wrist watch and bags. Majority of the stuff I bought are for my Godchildren whom I haven’t seen for the past 8 years. I haven’t bought anything for my daughter yet, maybe tomorrow when I go to Manila. She wished for a kiddie computer. So I guess that would make her happy.

Fab Finds : Week 1

Christmas balls - they come in a box, 15 pcs for only Php94
Gold ribbon - 3 yards for only P54 (we were supposed to wrap this around the tree, but we couldn’t make ribbons in between just like how it was displayed in the shop. Took the scissor and made 6 ribbons out of 3 yards haha!
Poinsettia - Php12 each

A Treat For Myself

Speaking of my Year End Priority List, well, I am getting there. I have accomplished 2 out of 10, as of yesterday. At least! Haha!

Christmas shopping > I’m almost done with it. Bought 12 gifts for my Godchildren (all in all I have 18). These 12 are just around me so… There are 2 more lined up for next year haha! Anyway, they are not costly but I as I’ve said, I made sure that I will see a smile on their faces as they open ‘em. I hope!
Hair rebond > A treat for myself. I brought my mom with me and tagged my daughter along with us (well, there’s no one else to look after her, we had no choice!). Mom had her hair dyed + a hot oil treatment. Then, I asked the hair dresser to trim Derelle’s hair as well.

Warning: There’s not much difference from how I looked before the “rebond” day. Hahaha! I’ve been wanting to have a haircut, (above the shoulder) but just by thinking the amount that I’ve already spent for my hair maintenance stops me from doing so.

I’m finally done with shopping almost half of my list, these are mainly for my Godchildren. I had a hard time picking them. There are just so many things to choose from but I need to check within my budget as well. Surely, these things will put a smile on their faces! Haven’t bought anything for my baby girl yet coz she was with me yesterday, didn’t want her to see it coz she might end up playing with it already.

Update : Christmas shopping finished except for my little girl. Here’s how our Christmas tree looks like now, I meant underneath haha!

They are the recent promotional products of Mc Donald’s. Sorry, I don’t know their names. One thing for sure is that these toys talk and they sometimes irritate me. Just one touch, and they move, unless the on/off is off. But there’s no way my daughter would do that. *sigh*

A Merrier YM Conversation

One of the many things that I do on my spare time is “listen to the radio”. To the radio built in my cellphone. But one disadvantage with a radio is that you only get to listen what is played at that moment. Unlike when you listen from a CD player (playing your fave music collection) or say for an example an ipod playing your uploaded MP3 collection, you get to choose the songs that make you feel good or bring you back to the good memories.

Just a while ago I was chatting with my husband. I told him that I have recorded Deye’s conversation with me but I am still trying to figure out how to download it from my cellphone, upload it to the PC and send to him. I know it’s simple but unluckily my micro mem card got corrupted and there’s no other way I could download it. That time my brother was out. I would’ve sent the media files via bluetooth. I was left with no choice but to wait till night. When I was finally done with the file transferring from his cellphone to the PC, I wanted to blog about it. I usually upload MP3s in imeem, and link it to the file where I am posting it. I had to search again for an online converter coz I had lost all my bookmarked sites last month. I whined about it. Hahaha! That’s a lotta work to do huh! My husband then told me to either get a new memory card for my cellphone so I don’t have to worry even if my memory gets full or find a cheap Ipod Touch where I can store the MP3s I have plus all the recorded voice of Deye.

In my mind I said oh okay! But wait who’s paying?, I asked him… Hmmm… Merry Christmas Dada! LOL! I’m pretty sure he got the message! Don’t you think an ipod makes a great gift? Agree or disagree?

For Dada On Christmas Day

Since I’m not very good in choosing gifts for men, what I always do is ask the person receiving it on what he prefers to have, in any occasion. Christmas is nearing and few days after that, we’d soon be together again for a couple of weeks (at least that happens twice a year, not bad at all!). So I thought handing over the gift to him personally is a good idea, that way we could still feel the spirit of gift giving on Christmas day, even if it is done a little later. When I sent him the URL of 511 Tactical, I knew what he was going to choose. But then, I wanted him to personally choose what he feels is nice and suitable for him.

One good thing about my husband is he never asks for expensive stuff. He doesn’t care. And he wouldn’t mind even if it was bought along the sidewalk. I was right. He chose this pair of eyewear which isn’t bad at all, at least he can use it while at work. His work requires a lot of field work under the sun. In fact the last time someone came home, I also sent him a pair.

How would you bring back your trust to someone who had broken it twice? Do you think it’s possible? Can a broken trust be whole again? By giving it time I guess. I was cheated on a lot of times. Sure I had forgiven them. That only means I was totally healed. The pain is no longer there but the scar remains. It sure does remind me of the damage. Once trust is broken you can never gain it back completely no matter how much you love the person. You can accept and continue loving the person but the process of building a 100% trust on that person again might take a lifetime or worst forever. So to answer the question, I don’t think it’s still possible. Once is okay, it’s tolerable. Twice is all but stupidity. And if you let it happen again and again, then you are the problem yourself, not the person breaking it.

My Paid Blogging History

It was sometime around February (2007) when I first saw Ms. Dine’s blog through Kimmy’s blog. But even before that, I was already into blogging though the purpose was only for self-expression and I wasn’t hooked with it, actively updating everyday. After a few exchange of comments, I’ve found myself registering to Pinoy Moms Network. To cut it short, since it’s a blog network for moms like me, I’ve met a lot of moms online (and offline). Visiting their blogsites became a part of my daily routine. It so happened that some of them were already into paid blogging. At first I was hesitant and my mind says how do they get paid when it’s done over the Internet. I am thinking it was totally unsafe disclosing your bank account (oh well that time I was not aware how PayPal works haha!). Imagine how clueless and dumb I was before. Until one day, someone had really proven that paid blogging really works and that they are paid much, blah blah blah.

Guess what happened next? I found myself buying a domain and had it hosted by a fellow mommy (Amore) who was referred by another fellow mommy (Feng). Did you just follow that? LOL! Submitted my primary blog When Silence Speaks to the suggested paid programs. Few months later, I am already one of those mommies getting paid to blog.

A year later, I managed to get 3 more self-hosted blogs. Two of them are already enrolled and approved into different paid programs like Paying Post.

While 1 is still in the process of getting into that level hahaha! All in all, at the moment, I have 3 self-hosted working blogs who have helped me in making the ends meet. You too can do that. If you haven’t yet, don’t you feel envious? I get to practice my writing skills and at the same time enjoy the fruit of it each payout period. Don’t be afraid to write. It’ll develop. I’ve spoken to two of my friends who are interested in doing the same but they were just too afraid about “writing”. Believe me, I didn’t know I can until I saw those figures projected by my fellow mommies hahaha! And since I’ve already mentioned it, I would like to personally thank Ms. Dine and Annamanila for giving me the courage that I can do it just like the other mommies. I owe it to you both. I was able to gain confidence because of what they said almost 2 years ago. And look where I’ve reached now. I’m not saying I write perfectly, I don’t. I know and am aware of that. What I’m trying to say is you’ll never know unless until you tried. I tried. I did it. And I am still certainly enjoying it now.
